Please read the “About Us” section before submitting comments.
Washington Hotwire welcomes Comments from its readers.
Comments are limited to 200 words or 1200 characters. The Comments box is designed not to take any more words or characters. The Articles are, similarly, limited – to 500 words or 3000 characters.
The word limit on Articles and Comments is designed to ensure precision and brevity. The bane of the Internet is long, lengthy, winding, repetitive, boring, writing that is insipid, plain, awful.
Comments are not moderated. However, the Editor will delete Comments that run afoul of the guidelines below –
Comments that deride people’s race, or sex, or color, or creed, or age, or sexual orientation,
Comments that can be taken as a slur by others,
Comments containing words in CAPS,
Comments that are vague, off-topic, or repetitive,
Comments that promote websites or products.
To ensure that your Comments are seen, and read, and enjoyed, and responded, to by others – be brief, be to the point, be original.
If all your Comment does is generate heat – that is, you’re venting – it will be deleted. If, on the other hand, your Comment enlightens, adds perspective, provides new insight, is cool and cerebral, is analytical and substantial, it will be eagerly received into Washington Hotwire pages.
Comments are not censored on the basis of political or ideological or religious beliefs. All viewpoints are welcome at Washington Hotwire.
